Greenland Homes is giving back to its community by building a home in Ankeny and donating the entire profit from the sale to Children’s Cancer Connection, an organization that works to enhance the quality of life for children and their families affected by cancer.
The Des Moines-based builder has done this before. Since 2012, the company has donated over $300,000 to support programs and services that Children’s Cancer Connection provides through the sales of their first four charity builds.
“We do it for the kids!”
Corey Kautz, Greenland Homes founder, said, “I love to see the entire teams’ involvement and enthusiasm, in addition to the generosity of all of our suppliers and contractors, it is an amazing gift to such a great cause. We do it for the kids!”
Tammy Heckart, licensed real estate agent with Iowa Realty, said “We look forward to this every year. These families are going through one of the biggest challenges of their lives and anything we can do to help aid in the support of helping them heal is work we are glad to do.” Iowa Realty and Tammy Heckart will also be donating all of their commissions of the sale of this home to Children’s Cancer Connection.
Brennan Buckley, President of Iowa Realty, said, “It’s a great honor to support a wonderful organization like Children’s Cancer Connection each year. These kids are amazing, and they teach us each day what’s important and how to live life the way it’s meant to be lived. We’re so proud to partner with Greenland Homes for such a great cause.“
Mark Slocum, Executive Director, Children’s Cancer Connection, said, “Greenland Homes is more than a donor. They are a friend, a mentor, and a GAME CHANGER for Children’s Cancer Connection.
