Advantage Series in Huxley, Iowa

We’re Hiring: Superintendent

Greenland Homes is one of the fastest growing builders serving Des Moines and the surrounding areas. We are committed to customer service – offering 2-year warranties on all of our homes – and dedicated to treating each customer like royalty.

As a Superintendent at Greenland Homes, you’ll be responsible for the on-site management and coordination of construction activities. You must demonstrate effective communication, time management, planning, and organization skills, while also maintaining a clean job site and fostering positive relationships with subcontractors and corporate representation.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• On-site management for multiple jobs, taking responsibility for project, budget, & schedule of each job.
• Communicate and coordinate with subcontractors, fellow Greenland team members, and material suppliers, working to resolve any issues to maintain productivity and positive relationships.
• Ensure quality control and compliance with the project plans and specifications.
• Mange and ensure overall project safety.
• Read and understand blueprints and specifications.
• Establish goals and motivate others to reach those goals.
• Positively represent Greenland Homes at all times.
• Excel in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.

Skills Required & Qualifications:

• Read and understand blueprints and specifications.
• High level of verbal and written communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Past experience as a construction superintendent or foreman.
• Capability to work in a physically demanding environment.
• Ability to operate construction hand tools and other specialized equipment safely and effectively.
