Greenland Homes & Tammy Heckart Raises Over $500,000 in Total Donations With their 6th Charity Home.
We did it! Thank you to everyone who helped contribute to our Charity Home this year and in the past! With this year’s donation, we reached our goal which was to raise over $500,000 total!
Thank you to the Following Contractors and Contributors!
As you can see by this list, there’s a lot of businesses involved when building a house. This list right here is why we support and use local businesses at Greenland Homes. Our cause spoke to their hearts and they wanted to help contribute to the Children’s Cancer Connection, a local charity in Des Moines. You don’t get this from national businesses! We’re so grateful for the chance to work with these companies and to call them friends.
“Thank you so much for all you do!” – Corey Kautz, Greenland Homes

Thank You to Nora and Her Family!
Nora is smart, funny, clever, and was a productive member of the team – keeping us on track and reviewing our work. We want to thank Nora and her family for being involved with our 6th Charity Home build. We loved Nora’s enthusiasm and energy! Check out our final walk-through with Nora – you’ll quickly see why the Greenland Homes’ crew fell in love with her!
Thank You to Our Staff and Agent Team
Of course, our amazing staff and wonderful agent team was a huge help as well! Keeping the day to day tasks running, showing the home to potential buyers, and more. We appreciate all of you and we see how hard you work! We’re proud of our team!

Nora Says the Charity Home is Ready!
See How We Kicked Off the 2020 Charity Home…
We usually have a big groundbreaking ceremony when we kick-off a charity house, but this year things are a bit different because of COVID-19. However, we didn’t let that hold us back! We’re pretty creative when it comes to getting the job done. And as you can see from the video, we had plenty of motivation since Nora, our honorary project manager and cancer warrior from the Children’s Cancer Connection wants the house done in time.
Everyone is welcome! Please join us as we celebrate on September 30th
“From the ground up, our Charity Home is built through partnerships with local contractors who, like us, understand the importance of our mission,” said Corey Kautz, Greenland Homes Founder. “They contribute materials, installation, and their time. They do this to make sure we can donate as much as possible to CCC through the home sale. Our celebration event is a chance to show off our hard work and celebrate another year of giving.”
Tammy Heckart of Heckart & Associates at Re/Max Concepts said, “This is the sixth time I’ve partnered with Greenland Homes to donate through the sale of a Charity Home,” said “This year we’ve reached a huge milestone, with our total donation amount exceeding half a million dollars! We’re so excited to celebrate this achievement! I first learned about CCC through my own family, and I’m honored to continue giving to this cause.”
3 Steps to Take If You’re Still Renting
Who’s still renting? You won’t be after this! We have townhomes in Ankeny and Waukee that are READY for you to move in. Townhomes are such an easy transition to home ownership! You will enjoy the same conveniences you already have with an apartment, like no lawn maintenance or no snow removal (nice!) PLUS MORE. Your money will go toward your OWN mortgage instead of your landlord’s … and often times your monthly mortgage payment is cheaper than your rent payment!
Take these 3 steps so we can get you into your own home:
- Call our preferred lender, Dave Lewis with HomeServices Lending. He’ll walk you through the process of getting pre-approved and ready to take the next steps.
- Tour townhomes in Ankeny and Waukee to find your favorite.
- Let your real estate agent know you’re ready to write an offer!
Let’s make this happen!
